Things To Do in Atlanta for March 2013 highlights include the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Atlanta Fair and the Georgia Marathon. The Atlanta music scene begins to heat up with concerts by PINK, Lady GaGa, Maroon 5 and Alicia Keys.

The Atlanta St. Patrick’s Parade is a tradition that began here over 150 years ago. Join in on the fun as the parade marches down Peachtree St. in Downtown Atlanta.

Festival: Atlanta Fair returns to Turner Field with a slew of rides, activities and fun for folks of all ages. The amusement park atmosphere includes funnel cakes, cotton candy and corn dogs. Atlanta Fair 2013 runs every nite through the month of March at Turner Field’s Grey Lot.

Atlanta Concert Event: Pink, powerhouse vocalist and songwriter from Pennsylvania is also known as Alecia Beth Moore. The three-time Grammy Award winner will stop here during “The Truth About Love Tour”. Pink has many smash hits including “Raise Your Glass”, “Get The Party Started” and “So What”. Pink’s most recent hit “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)” signifies her rebellious style of rock-pop music that carries a dance beat. Pink performs 8 p.m. at Philips Arena.

Atlanta Exhibit: Extreme Mammals features “The Biggest, Smallest, and Most Amazing Mammals of All Time” .  A family-friendly exhibit exploring how creatures have evolved over time. Extreme Mammals runs from March 2 through August 18, 2013 at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History.

Festivals: Atlanta Blues Festival artists include Floyd Taylor, Bobby Womack, Mel Waiters, Charles Wilson, Bobby “Blue” Bland and more. The 9th Annual Atlanta blues Festival takes place at the Atlanta Civic Center at 7pm. Tickets available at ticketmaster.com.

Motocross: Nuclear Cowboyz presents Freestyle Chaos, the bad boys of motocross are back with a heart-pounding extreme display of pyrotechnics, lasers and extreme motorcycle stunts. Nuclear Cowboys show times are 7 :30 p.m. March 2nd and 2:00 p.m. March 3rd at Philips Arena in Downtown Atlanta.

Festivals: Nepal Festival 2013 organized by the external relations committee of Nepalese Assocition in Southeast America (NASeA) will showcase heritage, culture, value, tradition, sports, food, history, geography and much of Nepal and the Nepalese at the world renowned Centennial Olympic Park in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia, on Sunday, March 3, 2013 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.. The festival will begin with a parade around the Park with people wearing diverse costumes and dresses representing different corners of Nepal and carrying items that depicts values and pride of Nepal, followed by different booths showing heritage, culture, tradition, food, values and pride of Nepal and ended with lively, vibrant cultural program at the Park’s amphitheater.

Festivals: Luckyfest 2013, a.k.a. Park Tavern Spring Festival. Wear your green and get ready to Rock the Park at the Biggest Green Party on this little Blue Planet! Join Spiral Entertainment and thousands of “loaded leprechauns” for tons of GREEN BEER, live music, DJs, and Southern Belles in tight green skirts. We are taking over Piedmont Park. This GREEN event takes place at the Park Tavern at 500 10th Street NE (corner of 10th and Monroe) in Atlanta.

Music Event: Lady Gaga – Born This Way Ball Tour features one of the greatest artists of our time. Her most recent hit songs include “The Edge of Glory”, “Judas” and “Born This Way” reveal influences of dance, rock ‘n’ roll and dance music. Lady Gaga, a.k.a. Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, is also set to her newest album “ARTPOP” sometime this year. Lady Gaga performs 7:30 pm at Philips Arena.

Atlanta Theater: Million Dollar Quartet, a story of a magical recording session that took place December 4, 1956. Four legends Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins get together at Sun Record recording studio in Memphis, Tn. Notable songs include “Great Balls of Fire”, “I Walk the Line”, “Hound Dog”, “Who Do You Love?” and “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On”. Million Dollar Quartet runs through the 17th at the Fabulous Fox Theatre.

Car Show: 2013 Atlanta International Auto Show showcases more than 400 new import and domestic cars, light trucks, vans and sports utility vehicles. On hand will be a wide variety of styles including luxury cars, economy cars, SUV’s, sports cars, hybrids, electric vehicles, convertibles, limited production cars, light trucks, vans and 4-wheel drive vehicles. The car show runs for five days through March 17 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Downtown Atlanta.
