Atlanta Theatre: Memphis – The Musical is based upon the Memphis DJ Dewey Philips who was one of the first white disc jockey’s to play black music in the 1950′s. Memphis won 2010 Tony Award’s for Best Musical, Best Original Score and Best Orchestrations. Memphis is at the Fabulous Fox Theatre, visit here for showtimes and tickets.

Atlanta Ballet: Twyla Tharp’s – The Princess and The Goblin – Tharp’s original full-evening ballet co-produced by Atlanta Ballet and Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet. A story of a courageous young girl who confronts the trials of coming-of-age, this family-friendly ballet will involve students from the Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education. Show runs from Feb. 10 – 19 at the Cobb Energy Centre for the Performing Arts.

Atlanta Concert: George Strait & Martina McBride - the King of Country George Strait brings with him The Country Music Hall Of Famer Martina McBride. George Strait’s 39th studio album “HERE FOR A GOOD TIME” received rave reviews and recently debuted at Number One on the Billboard Country Album Charts (his 3rd number one album debut in a row) and #3 on Billboard Top 200 Chart. The title track “Here For A Good Time,” written by Strait, his son Bubba Strait and songwriter Dean Dillon, is Strait’s 72nd Top 5 hit out of 89 career singles.
