Arrrrgh! Be ye a scallywag pirate, or a poised princess? Join us for a day of family fun featuring hands-on activities, games, and lots of yo ho ho! Costumes are encouraged.

Join us in the Naturalist Center for exciting tales about the natural world with Rob Cleveland, Fernbank’s storyteller-in-residence. This program is suitable for children ages 3 and up.

LOST OASIS 2012: 2O YEARS OF ROAR
Saturday, June 9 from 8pm to midnight
Celebrate 20 Years of Fernbank at one of the most anticipated events of the summer! Join us for a roaring 20s-themed party featuring a speakeasy atmosphere complete with live music, flappers, dancing, cuisine and libations.

Salsa Night
Every 3rd Friday during Martinis & IMAX® from 6:30pm – 11pm
Monthly Salsa Nights bring Salsambo Dance Studio to Martinis & IMAX®, offering incredible opportunities to enjoy Latin dancing (or appreciating the dance skills of others) with early-evening lessons for those who want a little practice before they heat up the dance floor. A special guest DJ provides the rhythmic beats. Standard Martinis & IMAX® ticket prices apply.

Fernbank Museum is home to a variety of permanent exhibits that educate visitors about Georgia’s natural history, human senses, world culture and early Native American inhabitants. Among the permanent exhibits is Giants of the Mesozoic, an incredible opportunity to stand among the world’s largest dinosaurs, Argentinosaurus and Giganotosaurus.
Out-of-town visitors will especially enjoy a journey through the state’s diverse geologic regions on a voyage through the coast, swampland, mountains, valleys, caves, and more in the permanent exhibition A Walk Through Time in Georgia, which also explores some of the prehistoric inhabitants that once roamed our region.
In addition, Fernbank Museum hosts several special traveling exhibits that give visitors something new to discover throughout the year .
