Outdoor Activities: Atlanta’s Finest 5K – there’s something for the whole family – of course there’s the 5K run/walk. The Atlanta Track Club Event benefits the Atlanta Police Foundation. The running event also features the Gumshoe Gallop – a 1K fun run for children ages 7-12, the Gumshoe Dash – a 100 meter dash for kids 6 and under, and an interactive area with APD squad cars, the bomb squad truck and some of the very popular four-legged members of the Mounted Patrol Unit, all proceeds to benefit the Atlanta Police Dept., 7:30 a.m., Centennial Olympic Park, Downtown Atlanta.
