Atlanta Concert: Vans Warped Tour – enjoy over 65 Bands and extreme sports. Warped Tour is a place for teenage kids to go and hear all their favorite bands in one day. Show begins Monday, 11 a.m. at Aaron’s Amphitheatre in South Atlanta.

Atlanta Concerts: Selena Gomez, Teen Pop-Star has two BIG hits “Naturally” and “Who Say’s”. Selena is also well known for playing the role of Alex Russo in Disney Channel’s Wizards of Waverly Place. Show time is 7:00 p.m., Chastain Park Amphitheatre, Buckhead Atlanta.
Atlanta Sports Event: Atlanta Dream vs. New York Liberty, WNBA Basketball, 7:30 p.m., Philips Arena, Atlanta – Downtown.
Atlanta Theatre: Come Fly Away – a dance musical featuring the sultry sounds of Frank Sinatra. Some great Sinatra songs include “My Way”, “That’s Life”, and “New York New York”. Show runs Aug. 2 – Aug.7 at the Fox Theatre in Midtown Atlanta.

Atlanta Concerts: Steely Dan – jazz-influenced rock band from the 70′s. Popular hits include “Peg”, “Hey Nineteen” and the classic “Reelin’ In The Years”. Steely Dan performs two shows, Aug. 6 & Aug. 7 at the Chastain Park Amphitheatre in Buckhead.
Outdoor Activities: Atlanta’s Finest 5K run/walk, there’s something for the whole family – of course there’s the 5K run/walk. The Atlanta Event also features the Gumshoe Gallop – a 1K fun run for children ages 7-12, the Gumshoe Dash – a 100 meter dash for kids 6 and under, and an interactive area with APD squad cars, the bomb squad truck and some of the very popular four-legged members of the Mounted Patrol Unit, all proceeds to benefit the Atlanta Police Dept., 7:00 a.m., Centennial Olympic Park, Downtown Atlanta.

The 2011 PGA Championship gets underway at the Atlanta Athletic Club in Duluth, Ga. The prestigious golf tournament features many of the world’s top golfers including Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson. The golf event runs daily from Aug. 8 to Aug. 14, 2011.
