US 10K Classic
Billed as America’s Greatest 10K, the U.S. 10k Classic is part of the Labor Day Weekend Family Festival. The 2010 U.S. 10K Classic Road Race and Cycling events take place on Monday September 6, 2010 at the Cobb Galleria Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The challenging 6.2 mile straight course race travels along highway 41 and ends a White Water/American Adventures Theme Park. Racing events include running, inline skating, cycling and wheelchair athletes.
The U.S. 10K Classic is the Grand Finale Event to a multi-event weekend filled with entertainment and sports. The Family Festival is a free event that occurs every year on Labor Day Weekend in Atlanta. This festival is open to the general public and has features many kid’s activities, an Artists Market, Kid’s Classic Races, interactive areas, free samples and gifts, as well as great deals on fitness apparel, equipment and accessories.
The Men’s 100K Pro Cycling Event is for top ranked cyclists and professionals only. It offers the Largest Single Day Purse in Georgia!
USCF licensed cyclists compete in the Women’s 10K Cycling Sprint for the World’s Largest 10K Prize Purse!
Included in the 10K Classic are regional and national running champions, corporate team runners, in-line skaters from around the country, regional and national cyclists, wheelchair athletes, race walkers and all others who want to participate.
Start times for the five events are as follows:
Men’s 100K Pro Cycling – 7:15am
Women’s 10K Cycling Sprint 7:20am
10K Inline Skate – 7:25am
10K Wheelchair – 7:30am
10K Run/Walk – 7:45am.
