Atlanta Marathon

The 2011 Atlanta Marathon race events will take place on Sunday October 30, 2011.  The Atlanta Marathon is the oldest marathon in the Southeast and one of the oldest in the nation.

This year the Atlanta Marathon and 4 Person Marathon Relay events are expected to attract over 12,000 participants from all over the country. The Marathon is an Atlanta tradition previously held during the holiday season. The Atlanta Track Club moved the marathon date from Thanksgiving Day and extended the course time limit from 5 to 6 1/2 hours to extend the field of participants.

2011 Atlanta Marathon Registration Information:

This year the Atlanta Marathon will start and finish at Atlantic Station by Midtown Atlanta. The 26.2 mile course features many Atlanta Landmarks including the Georgia Aquarium, Piedmont Park, Georgia Tech, Turner Field and Centennial Olympic Park. Popular neighborhoods along the route include Downtown Atlanta, Grant Park, Inman Park, Virginia-Highland, Morningside and Buckhead.

All runners must be 18 and older to participate.

* 01/01/2011- 07/15/2011- $80

* 07/16/2011-09/30/2011- $90

* 10/01/2011-10/26/2011- $110

* 10/29/2011 at Number Pick-Up- $125
