What better way to spend October Weekends in Atlanta and get in the Halloween spirit than going to a Pumpkin Festival. The 7th Annual Pumpkin Festival at Stone Mountain Park not only has lots of kids activities but is fun for the entire family.
One of our favorites is the new Pumpkin Tumbler. It is a new activity where you place yourself into a pumpkin tumbler and weave and wobble through an inflatable obstacle course.
Halloween games feature the Trick or Treat Scavenger Hunt and the old favorite Pumpkin Pie Eating Contests. Kids in the scavenger hunt get to search for clues around the park to find a reward that’s sure to be sweet.
Kids and adults are chosen to compete in the Pumpkin Pie Eating Contests. Kids love this one as they have fun eating and making a mess with the pies.
Other Halloween kids activities include the Great Pumpkin Puppet Parade and the
Children’s Costume Contest. Kids and parents are welcome to join the fun and boogie down in the Great Pumpkin Puppet Parade. Kids have a blast while participating in the zany Children’s Costume Contest. The Pumpkin Festival goes on weekends throughout October.
