A work of craft titled “The Lost Heroes Art Quilt” is making it’s way to Atlanta this week. This special exhibit displays a generous gift that honors America’s fallen heroes in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Julie Feingold crafted the memorial quilt that combines over 80 heroes including a hero from every state in America. “The Lost Heroes Art Quilt” began its tour at Arlington National Cemetery Visitors Center after being shown at a ceremony at the U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C.
This special exhibition makes its way to the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta, Ga., and runs from Monday February 22 through March 2, 2010. The national exhibit tells the stories of the soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country and includes photos, interests, and hopes.
The Lost Heroes Art Quilt features nine fallen heroes from Georgia, many with ties to Fort Benning.
