DUI CrackdownAtlanta locals and tourists need to be wary from now to Labor Day Weekend . Georgia State Patrol along with local police will clamp down on drunk drivers August 21 through September 7.

It’s called “Operation Zero Tolerance” and is sponsored by Georgia’s Highway Safety Department. What it means is if your caught driving while impaired you go straight to jail without a warning or citation and be issued a DUI.

The crackdown is being implemented as part of the 100 Days of Summer Heat crusade. Have a good time this Labor Day Weekend but watch out for those who may be drinking under the influence and drive safely.
