Halloween Activities

Pumpkin Festival at Stone Mountain Park

The 7th Annual Pumpkin Festival is a fabulous way for kids to get in the Halloween spirit. There’s enough entertainment in Stone Mountain Park to keep families busy all weekend. Don’t miss the Pumpkin Tumbler or the Great Pumpkin Puppet Parade. The Pumpkin Tumbler is a new activity where you hop in a pumpkin tumbler and stumble your way through an inflatable obstacle course.

There are plenty of Halloween games for kids such as the Trick or Treat Scavenger Hunt, storytelling, pie eating contests and the children’s costume contest where kids participate in the Great Pumpkin Puppet Parade. The Pumpkin Festival goes on weekends throughout October.

Dates: Oct 2 — 31 Fridays through Sundays

Scarecrows in the Garden & Goblins in the Garden

Another favorite Atlanta Event in October is the annual Scarecrows in the Garden. Get feisty Thursday evenings in October at the Fest-of-Ale, featuring a fine selection of brews emphasizing the Halloween theme.

Bring your flashlight and view the scarecrows while drinking some spirits and listening to live music. The final event for the month long Scarecrows in the Garden venue is the Goblins in the Garden. This is a childrens costume party and parade. Children are invited to dress in their favorite Halloween costumes and have fun in the garden. Childrens activities include story time, Ride-On-The-Train, and pony rides.
