Georgia Marathon 2010 Information

The 2010 ING Georgia Marathon race is quickly becoming one of the premier marathons in the Southeast and is considered to be a world class event. This year the Georgia Marathon spotlights different areas of Atlanta, including Downtown and Midtown, and many other communities.

The ING Georgia Marathon and Half Marathon will include a 5k race as well as a children’s run, and will travel through Metro Atlanta’s most interesting and historic areas including the Sweet Auburn District, Inman Park, Decatur, Druid Hills, Virginia-Highlands, and Midtown.

Runners in the 26.2 marathon will travel a course that passes by famous Atlanta Landmarks including the King Historic Site, the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library, four college campuses, and Piedmont Park. The starting and finishing areas take place adjacent to Centennial Olympic Park in Downtown Atlanta, see course information on the YouTube video below.

Marathon – $70 until 8/31, $85 until 12/31, $100 until 3/17, $135 at the Expo
Half Marathon – $50 until 8/31, $65 until 12/31, $80 until 3/17, $135 at the Expo
Wheelchair Half Marathon – $50 until 8/31, $65 until 12/31, $80 until 3/17, $135 at the Expo

For the 3rd consecutive year, the 2010 ING Georgia Marathon has been named a Championship race by Road Runners Club of America (RRCA).
