The Atlanta Falcons starting offensive unit proved what they are capable of in Friday nights stellar performance against the St. Louis Rams. Matt Ryan conducted two precision drives against the Rams resulting in two touchdowns.
Turner – The Human Tank
Michael Turner provided the juice as he overpowered the Rams defense. The human tank ran effortlessly, exploding for 44 yard run and a touchdown. Turner ended his short stint with 7 carries for 65 yards.
Gonzalez showcases his talent
Atlanta Falcons fans got their first real taste of newly acquired Tony Gonzalez and what the 10-time Pro Bowler has to offer. The 33 year old Gonzalez led tight ends with 96 receptions last year while playing for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Gonzalez and quarterback Matt Ryan connected on a 14 yard touchdown and an 11 yard third down play. The addition of Gonzalez gives Matt Ryan viable options on third down and in the red zone.
Matt Ryan still improving
Gonzalez gave kudos to Matt Ryan stating he knew Ryan was a great quarterback right away.
Matt Ryan looked superb throwing 7 of 8 passes for 81 yards and a touchdown. What is scares other defenses is the fact that second year Matt Ryan is still improving.
Falcons face the San Diego Chargers Saturday night at the Georgia Dome in their preseason home opener. This football event features two of the best offensive juggernauts in the NFL.
