The 2010 Spring Atlanta Home Show brings the lat­est inno­va­tions and trends in home liv­ing all under one roof. Find out how to make your home more enjoy­able by tour­ing the dif­fer­ent gal­leries and speak­ing with experts from the home build­ing and home remod­el­ing industries.

High­lights from the Atlanta Home Show fea­ture the Viking Cook­ing Stage, Edu­ca­tional Ses­sions, Artist Show­case and the Total Wine Expe­ri­ence. The 32 Annual Spring Atlanta Home Show is com­ing to the Cobb Gal­le­ria Cen­tre, March 19–21, 2010.

Learn the lat­est trends in out­door liv­ing and home land­scap­ing. Expe­ri­ence the edu­ca­tional ses­sions designed to save you time and money on home remod­el­ing projects. Find out how to give your home a phys­i­cal, choose the right con­trac­tor, pro­tect your house from mold, and per­form a home energy audit.

Total Wine Expe­ri­ence:
A new event this year at the Spring Atlanta Home Show is the Total Wine Expe­ri­ence. For a $5 dona­tion to ben­e­fit Hope Atlanta, you can sam­ple fine wines from around the world. While help­ing a good cause you can have a good time and learn from the wine experts.

The spe­cial wine tast­ing events will be offered from 11:30 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Fri­day and Sat­ur­day and from 12:30 – 6 p.m. on Sun­day. Here is a list of the wines that will be fea­tured at the show:

The Spring Atlanta Home Show is one of the pre­mier Atlanta Events cater­ing to the home indus­try. Show hours are Fri­day and Sat­ur­day from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Sun­day from noon – 6 p.m. Home Show tick­ets for adults are $10. Chil­dren 12 and under and adults 65 and over are admit­ted for free. St Patrick’s Parade 2010

Irish eyes will be smil­ing when the 2010 Atlanta St. Patrick’s Parade marches down Peachtree St. Every year this tra­di­tional Atlanta Event seems to get big­ger and bet­ter. The city has long ties to the Irish not­ing the first Atlanta St. Patrick’s Day Parade occurred over 150 years ago!

Thou­sands of Irish-loving peo­ple will line the streets when the parade begins at the inter­sec­tion of Peachtree St. and Ralph McGill Blvd. in Down­town Atlanta. Enter­tain­ment along the parade route will fea­ture Irish dancers, Bag­pipers, floats, Drum Corps, thou­sands of chil­dren, and the Anheuser Busch Clydes­dales. In addi­tion there’s clowns, fire engines, vin­tage cars, police units, dig­ni­taries from Ire­land, dogs, and a mul­ti­tude of bands.

The Grand Mar­shal for the 2010 Atlanta St. Patrick’s Parade will be Coach Vince Doo­ley.

After the parade goes through and fin­ishes at Under­ground Atlanta where the cel­e­bra­tion con­tin­ues. Foun­tain Plaza at Upper Alabama St. is where to find chil­dren activ­i­ties and the Inter­ac­tive Kids Zone. The St Patrick’s Fes­ti­val fea­tures live enter­tain­ment, food, music and of-course green beer!

St. Patty’s Day Parade is now enter­ing its 128th year and is the largest parade in Atlanta. The best part is you don’t have to be Irish to par­tic­i­pate. It’s a great fam­ily fes­ti­val and Atlanta event that empha­sizes chil­dren, school and immigrants.

Discover Sharks at the Georgia Aquarium

A spe­cial exhibit at the Geor­gia Aquar­ium titled “Planet Shark: Preda­tor or Prey” is not show­ing through Labor Day Week­end. The exhibit explores the rela­tion­ship between humans and and the world’s most feared preda­tor, the shark.

Pop­u­lar display’s at “Planet Shark: Preda­tor or Prey” include:

  • An 18-foot Great White shark caught in South Aus­tralian waters. This is the largest shark ever caught by recre­ational fishing!
  • Elab­o­rate assem­blage of ancient shark jaws, fos­sils and teeth that date back 350 mil­lion years!
  • Shark themed film-festivals and lec­tures from world-renowned shark experts.
  • Shark cages and authen­tic arti­facts from the movie “Jaws”.
  • A cool dis­play of a real, frozen 700 lb Blue-fin tuna and its nat­ural preda­tor, an adult Mako shark frozen in time.
  • Detailed infor­ma­tion on the Great White shark satel­lite tag­ging pro­gram and other con­ser­va­tion efforts.

The Planet Shark: Preda­tor or Prey is a 12,000 square-foot exhi­bi­tion that com­pli­ments the 14 vari­eties of sharks housed inside the Geor­gia Aquar­ium. This spe­cial event was con­ceived by a team of experts in the fields of sharks, aquar­i­ums, ocean cin­e­matog­ra­phy and world-class exhibitions.
