NBA Preseason: Atlanta Hawks vs. New Orleans Hornets – see the revamped Hawks that now features Devin Harris, Lou Williams, Al Horford and Josh Smith. Game time is 7:30 p.m. at Philips Arena.

Atlanta Family Events: Pumpkin Festival – Stone Mountain Park’s annual festival (now in its tenth year)is a family favorite for kids and parents alike. Tons of activities including Kids Trick or Treat Scavenger Hunt, Pumpkinpalooza, Storytelling, Pumpkin Junction and The Mayor’s Rockin’ Costume Party. Pumpkin Festival runs Friday through Sunday at Stone Mountain Park.

Atlanta Walk-a-thon: JDRF Walk – Held in Centennial Olympic Park and 200 other locations across the U.S., the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes is one of America’s fastest growing walk-a-thons. With over 11,000 participants, the Walk is the Georgia Chapter’s largest and most successful event.

Atlanta Music Event: A Tribute to Bugs Bunny – The Atlanta Concert Band, under the baton of Paul F. Scanling, performs “A Tribute to Bugs Bunny” at Centennial Olympic Park’s Southern Company Amphitheatre. This program includes “The William Tell Overture,” “Hungarian Rhapsody,” “The Barber of Seville” and much more. Learn how Bugs Bunny cartoons influenced the public’s knowledge of classical music at this concert. Admission is FREE. Show time is 4 p.m. at Centennial Olympic Park in Downtown Atlanta.
