Top ranked fireworks include the “4th of July Celebration at Centennial Olympic Park“, “4th of July Celebration at Lenox Square” and the “Fantastic Fourth Celebration” at Stone Mountain Park.

4th of July Celebration at Centennial Olympic Park

The award winning 4th of July Celebration at Centennial Olympic Park in Downtown Atlanta has the spectacular Atlanta Skyline as it’s backdrop. This fireworks show has been dubbed “Atlanta’s best fireworks display” due in part to its synchronization to a special blend of patriotic music on fm radio Q100.

In addition to the spectacular fireworks show, there are many kinds of activities for the whole family to enjoy. Festivities for children begin at noon near the Fountain of Rings at Centennial Olympic Park and last until 4:00 p.m. Kids activities include riding and jumping on the inflatables, face painting, arts and crafts and more.

The 2011  4th of July Celebration features live musical performances by von Grey, The Regulars Band, the Key and Crystal Bowersox from American Idol.

3:45 p.m. Von Grey – four sisters from Atlanta, Ga. form this band which is sure to bring a smile to your face. Harmonies and rhythm are mixed with different styles of music that include bluegrass, Celtic, country and rock.

5:00 p.m. The Regulars – five member band hailing from the suburbs of Atlanta features a clever mix of pop and soul. The Regulars frequent many Atlanta hot spots including Andrew’s, Eddie’s Attic, RiRa’s and Upstairs.

6:30 p.m. The Key – modern rock band whose style of of music is is reminiscent of the late 90′s alternative era. Their style of music is frequently compared to Matchbox 20 and Coldplay.

8:30 p.m. Crystal Bowersox – headliner for this years outstanding musical lineup. The talented folk country artist placed second on last year’s American Idol TV Show.

The 4th of July Celebration at Centennial Olympic Park is absolutely one of the best Atlanta Fireworks Shows and combines family fun activities along with a great concert attraction!

4th of July Celebration at Lenox Square

The 4th of July Celebration at Lenox Square in Buckhead is the “largest fireworks show in the Southeast” boasting over 4000 shots and a very popular Atlanta Event attracting over 200,000 people!

The fun begins at noon inside Lenox Square Mall with face painting, balloon artists, costumed characters and Uncle Sam on stilts. This 4th of July Celebration even has a Kids Zone Area.

Live musical performances begin at 6 p.m. starting out with a special Blackhawk military fly-over. The 4th of July Celebration at Lenox Square begins at 9:40 p.m. and includes three teaser finales and a super grand fireworks finale that’s a Pyrotechnic Extravaganza!

Times: Lenox Square shops and restaurants open from 12:00 pm – 6:00 p.m. Live Music begins at 6:00 p.m. Headlining this years event will be Party On The Moon! The Largest Fireworks Display in the Southeast starts at 9:40 p.m.

Fantastic Fourth Celebration

The Fantastic Fourth Celebration at Stone Mountain Park is a three day Atlanta event that begins with a laser show and follows with a traditional fireworks display. What makes this fireworks extravaganza special is that it immediately follows the lasershow spectacular that Stone Mountain Park is famous for. The fireworks are shot not only from the base but also the top of Stone Mountain lighting up the entire sky.

Whether you stay the whole day or the entire 4th of July Weekend at Stone Mountain Park there are many things to do. Atlanta attractions at this popular tourist destination include the Sky Hike which is the nations largest adventure ropes course and the new Journey to the Center of the Earth 4-D Movie.

Date: Saturday, Sunday, and Monday July 2nd, 3rd and 4th, 2011

Times:Park attractions open at 10:00 a.m. each day.

Live Music begins at 5:00 pm
The fireworks display immediately follows the laser show which starts at dusk.
