The AdvoCare 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Race is the showcase event of Labor Day Weekend in Atlanta. The event is the culmination of three day racing festival taking place September 2-4 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway.

The Camping World Truck Series Race starts off the Labor Day Weekend festivities with 200 miles of heart pounding action. The NASCAR Truck race gets underway Friday Sept. 2 at 8 p.m.

The festival kicks into high gear on Saturday with a Lynyrd Skynyrd Concert at 5:30 p.m. The legends of Southern Rock is famous for hammering out tunes like “Sweet Home Alabama”, “You Got That Right”, “What’s Your Name?”, and one of the most iconic rock anthems of all-time “Free Bird”. The weekend festivities roll on Saturday night under the lights with the Great Clips 300 at 7:30 p.m.

The biggest Labor Day Party in America continues Sunday, Sept. 4 with the AdvoCare 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race. NASCAR’s most popular drivers hoping to qualify include Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards and Tony Stewart.

The Atlanta Motor Speedway is a 1.54 mile quad-oval track with 24 degree banked turns. Today it has a seating capacity of 125,000 with over 1000 luxury seats.

It was originally a 1.5 mile track when it was built in 1960, known as the Atlanta International Raceway. There were seven super speedways built and now only three remain. The other two tracks are Daytona International Speedway, Darlington Raceway and Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte.

Currently, the race is commonly called the biggest Labor Day Party in America and for good reason.Thousands of NASCAR fans will come from all over the country to attend the Labor Day Weekend event in Atlanta.

Racing enthusiasts love the speedway because it one of the fastest on the NASCAR circuit earning the track’s slogan, “Real Racing. Real Fast.”. The Atlanta Motor Speedway is also known for its fantastic tailgating, beautiful infield and that every seat in the house is a good one.

The racing event takes place over Labor Day Weekend Sept. 2-4 at Atlanta motor Speedway 1500 Highway 19 & 41 S. in Hampton, Georgia.
