Lawrenceville Ghost Tours

06/19/2009 to 08/29/2009
Lawrenceville, GA a quiet southern town born almost 200 years ago is home to some of the most bizarre and spooky tales ever told. Like other southern towns, Lawrenceville has a history rich in Native American culture, civil war stories and various quirky characters that have trod the pavement of it’s streets. But unlike most other southern towns, there’s a lot more para-normal than normal.
Take a scary stroll through haunted Lawrenceville and hear about:
Flying Corpses
The heiress who was kidnapped and buried alive
What really happened at the old jail.
Join us (if you dare) for a 90-minute walking tour of some of Lawrenceville GA’s most
interesting places and the stories behind it’s most bizarre events, hauntingly told with
the charm and personality of a real southern storytellers

Lend Me a Tenor

07/31/2009 to 08/29/2009
World famous tenor, Tito Morelli, is to perform OTHELLO for the Cleveland Grand Opera Company. Saunders, the general manager, hopes this will put Cleveland on the operatic map, Morelli is late, and when he arrives it is too late to rehearse with the company. Through a hilarious set of mishaps, Il Stupendo is given a double dose of tranquilizers which mix with the booze he has consumed, and he passes out. His pulse is so low Saunders and his assistant Max believe he is dead. What to do? Max is an aspiring singer and Saunders persuades him to get into Morelli’s Othello costume and try to fool the audience into thinking he is Tito. Max succeeds admirably, but Tito comes in and gets into his other costume. Now TWO Othellos are running around in costume and two women are running round in lingerie, each thinking she is with Il Stupendo, while the Bellhop continues to try to meet Il Stupendo.

The Medicine Showdown

08/21/2009 to 08/30/2009
After dazzling Atlanta audiences with The Mystery of Chung Ling Soo and Liliom, The New York-based Flying Carpet Theatre returns to Atlanta. Set in small-town Georgia during the 1918 global influenza pandemic, this original work pits a crusading doctor against an entourage of snake oil salesmen. Public health seems at odds with the town‘s economic interests as civic leaders debate shutting down all public gatherings—including the popular and lucrative local medicine show. Interwoven with the realistic play are scenes from a period medicine show, complete with tap dance, old time melodrama, country music, and vaudeville style comedy.
