The Atlanta Film Festival is an exciting experience, packed with movies, parties and special events that take place over a nine day period. The Atlanta Film Festival 2010 officially opens at the Carter Center at One Educational 453 Freedom Parkway on Thursday, April 15, 2010 with Stanley Nelson’s Freedom Riders.
Enjoy different types of cinema from the US and all over the world along with famous directors and independent filmmakers. There will be more than 150 works showcased at this popular Atlanta Event. The 34th Annual Atlanta Film Festival invites everyone to discover the many works of art featuring independent, international short, classic, documentary and animated films that will be shown at the Landmark Midtown Art Cinema.
ATLFF is a member of an elite list of fests that are Academy Award® qualifying festivals for the Best Live Action Narrative Short and Best Animated Short categories.
* In 2009, ATLFF received over 1750 submissions from over 75 countries

The 2010 Atlanta Film Festival will close on Friday, April 23, 2010 at the 14th Sreet Playhouse at 173 14th Street with the Southeastern premiere of Barr Weissman’s The Secret To A Happy Ending, an interesting behind-the-scenes documentary of the Athens, GA based band Drive-By Truckers.
