Lake Lanier Islands is home to a joyful holiday festival, the 17th annual Magical Nights of Lights. Billed as the World’s Largest Animated Light Extravaganza, this festival is a wonderful way to get in the holiday spirit!
Bring you family and drive through seven miles of dazzling holiday light displays. Kids activities await in the Holiday Village and feature pony rides, carnival rides, marshmallow roasts and holiday treats.
While there you can do some holiday shopping inside the Santa Shop. Don’t forget to take pictures of Santa with your children.
The Legacy Lodge Windows Restaurant at Lake Lanier Islands Resort offers a Magical Nights of Lights dinner buffet. They also have a great tradition all kids can enjoy, breakfast with Santa.
Magical Nights of Lights is open daily now through December 30 from 5pm until 10pm. To get there, take I-85N to I-985N to exit 8 (Friendship Road). Follow the signs to Lake Lanier Islands Resort. Or take GA 400N to exit 14. Go East on GA 20, turn left on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and left on Friendship Road.

About: It’s almost Christmas, but evil Barnaby and his hoodlum son have come to evict Mary and her Mom from their 2nd floor apartment.
This couldn’t come at a worse time, what with Mary’s father M.I.A. Mary makes a Christmas wish that the family be reunited. The next morning finds that Mary and her Mom are the newest residents of Toyland. Here she meets Mother Goose and other storybook characters who become part of the adventure.
With the help of Tom, the Toymaker’s son, Mary sets out to thwart the nefarious doings of Barnaby and Barnaby Jr. who are also in Toyland. Music includes the classic songs Toyland, Hail to Christmas, Go to Sleep, Slumber Deep and I Can’t do the Sums.
